Observers of Change: Art from the UAE Exhibition
Explore the journey of the UAE’s artistic identity over the past 50 years, at the ‘Observers of Change: Art from the UAE (1971–2025)’ exhibition at Etihad Museum running until 30 June. Organised by Dubai Culture, in collaboration with Barjeel Art Foundation, the display features over 70 seminal works by UAE-based artists from the Foundation’s collection.
The exhibits, which also include the works of talents from Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Bahrain comprise photography, sculpture, installation and mixed media, each making a statement on the evolution of local artistic scene.
From early landscape paintings, abstract and calligraphic work to urban documentation, the showcase offers interesting insights into the nation’s creative identity and the path it has charted over the years. Don’t miss it.
